John Gorrell

John Gorrell is the VP & Senior External Wholesaler at Westwood Holdings. John has over 8 years of experience in the financial industry, working with some of the biggest names in the business. Prior to joining Westwood, John worked at New York Life Investments as a Regional Vice President. In this role, they were responsible for increasing MainStay Mutual Fund, Managed Account and ETF sales within focus firms of the Broker Dealer channel. John also coordinated strategy and efforts with Regional Directors and Branch Office Managers to gain assets and developed business plans around focus firms to identify business opportunities. In 2012, John was the #1 salesperson on the West Coast, beating their goal by 267%. John was also the #2 salesperson in the firm in 2016 for ETFs and the #1 salesperson in 2019 for Retirement Sales. John is a founding member of the ETF Advisory Council and has been instrumental in the development and marketing of IndexIQ products.

John Gorrell has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from Oklahoma State University and certification from FINRA in Series 7 and 63.
