Katie Williams

As Director of Talent and Culture, Katie focuses on ensuring that Wētā FX’s crew thrives in a workplace culture that enables them to be their best.

Katie is an award-winning senior HR practitioner, bringing more than 20 years of experience to her role at Wētā FX. At Vodafone New Zealand for a decade, she led teams across all aspects of HR. She was most recently Human Resources Director, with accountability for the HR, property, internal communications, and Agile teams.

Having trained as an organizational psychologist, Katie began her career as a management consultant in New Zealand, Europe, and Australasia, leading large-scale business transformation across a wide range of industries including financial services, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, professional services, and the public sector.

Passionate about supporting people to realize their full potential, Katie also serves as a board member of Vodafone New Zealand’s charitable foundation, which aims to halve the number of disadvantaged young people in New Zealand by 2027.
