Michael Ortiz

Michael Ortiz, Ed.D, currently serves as a Senior Creative Producer and Multimedia Specialist at WeTravel, where responsibilities include scripting, shooting, producing, and editing product-related videos and sales enablement materials. Prior experience includes a role as a Video Editor at CoStar Group, focusing on storytelling through various video forms, and over a decade as a Digital Filmmaking and Commercial Photography Instructor at Spring Branch ISD, where Michael developed industry-standard programs and certified students in professional video editing software. Additionally, Michael held adjunct professor positions at Houston Community College, teaching multiple courses in digital photography and filmmaking, and contributed to workforce education programming as an instructor with Workforce Solutions. Michael holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Houston, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Bachelor of Science in Radio, Television, and Film from The University of Texas at Austin.
