Paul de Waal

Paul de Waal is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in the tourism and travel industry, currently serving as the Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Wetu since October 2005. Wetu specializes in innovative technology and content aggregation for the tourism sector, enhancing the visual presentation of products for tour operators and travel agents. Additionally, Paul is a Board Member of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Co. Ltd., contributing to one of Africa's premier tourist attractions. Paul co-founded Africa Bespoke, promoting travel experiences in Africa, and African Agenda, a leading Conference Organising Company in South Africa. Previous ventures include FastFunction and Mountain Range Products, where Paul developed a unique wine bottle design. Paul's early career includes a role as a civil engineer with Property Development Services. Paul holds a BSc Eng in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
