Peter Popovich

Peter Popovich, O.D., is an experienced optometrist currently serving at OSF HealthCare since January 2025 and at Wexford Health Sources since August 2018, where Peter provides optometric care for the Dixon Correctional Center. Previously, Peter worked as a medical optometrist at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital from July 2019 to December 2024 and as a primary care optometrist at Shopko Eyecare Center from July 2016 to May 2019. In addition to clinical practice, Peter has contributed to continuing education as a presenter for the Illinois Optometric Association and conducted workshops for emergency room providers. Peter completed optometry externships at various institutions, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the John-Kenyon American Eye Institute. Peter holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy from The University of Dallas.
