Steve Ritz

Steve Ritz has had an extensive work experience in the medical field. Steve served as the Chief Medical Officer at Wexford Health Sources starting in July 2020. Prior to that, they were the Corporate Medical Director at Wexford Health Sources from May 2014 to July 2020, overseeing utilization management and strategic initiatives. Before joining Wexford Health Sources, Steve worked as a Medical Director/Physician Advisor at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield from July 2011 to May 2014, where they were responsible for case management and quality initiatives. Steve also has experience as a Physician at Urgent Care from 2009 to 2014, handling acute illness and injury cases. From 2002 to 2009, Steve was the Director of Osteopathic Family Medicine Internship/Residency at UPMC St Margaret, where they developed and supervised the program. Additionally, they worked as a Physician/Shareholder at Lawrence Co. Family Medicine/Jameson Medical Services from July 1997 to July 2005.

Steve Ritz has a Faculty Development Fellowship from UPMC St. Margaret / Univ. of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Steve also completed a Family Medicine Residency Program at UPMC St. Margaret. Steve holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from CCOM Midwestern Univ. Steve'sundergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh.
