Richard Early

Richard (Rick) Early is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and application support within the forestry and timber industries. Having served as the Timberlands Tier 1 Support Team Lead and Senior Application Steward at Weyerhaeuser since April 2014, Rick managed customer support, incident resolution, and product delivery for critical Tactical Woodflow Planning applications. Prior roles at Plum Creek included Senior Analyst & Project Manager, where Rick facilitated the adoption of a Business Intelligence platform and led IT teams across various domains. Early's career also features significant positions at Boise Cascade Corporation, beginning as a Forester and advancing to GIS Operator and GIS Forester. Rick holds a Master's Degree in Forest Management Science from Duke University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Pre Forestry from Willamette University, along with a high school diploma from Punahou School. Currently, Rick is retired as of June 2024.
