Shelia Wright

Shelia Wright is an experienced news assignment editor with a strong background in journalism, currently serving at WFMY News 2 since January 2019. Previously, Shelia held similar roles at WUSA-TV and WJLA-TV, where responsibilities included overseeing breaking news coverage. Earlier career experiences include working as a weekend assignment editor at FOX 5 DC, where planning future stories and coordination of news crews were key tasks, as well as serving as a multimedia journalist and production assistant at ABC 13 - WSET. Shelia holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication/Media Studies from James Madison University.
