Krista Nufrio

Krista Nufrio is an accomplished accounting professional with over two decades of experience in various financial roles. Currently serving as Vice President of Business Excellence at WGL since April 2009, Krista has held multiple titles within the company, including Vice President and Controller, Director of Technical Accounting and Reporting, and Manager of Technical Accounting and Corporate Accounting. In these roles, Krista managed diverse functional areas within the Controllers Group and led a team of 11 accounting professionals. Prior to WGL, Krista worked at Luxottica Retail, where positions included Supervisor of Benefits Accounting, Inventory Accounting Manager II, and General Accounting Manager. Krista began their career at Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant. Academically, Krista holds a Master's degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
