Melissa Adams

Melissa Adams is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in corporate social responsibility, sales, marketing, and investor relations. Currently serving as the Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer at WGL since January 2016, Melissa formulates strategies and programs that benefit both the company and its communities, collaborating closely with the Board and executive leadership. As Division Head of Sales & Economic Development at WGL Holdings, Inc. since October 2014, Melissa has successfully expanded sales responsibilities and focuses on large-scale economic development initiatives while aiming for significant sales growth. Previous roles at Washington Gas and Columbia Energy Group showcase a strong track record in business development and investor relations, with notable achievements in restructuring organizations to drive proactive sales strategies and enhance investor communications. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from The George Washington University.
