Lisa Washburn has a strong background in the legal field, with a focus on media companies. Lisa started their career at Tribune Media in 1998 as an Assistant General Counsel and worked there for over 20 years. In 2019, they joined Nexstar Media Group, Inc. as an Associate General Counsel and later became a Vice President & Assistant General Counsel. In 2022, Washburn transitioned to TPT - Twin Cities PBS as a Vice President & General Counsel, and within a year, they were promoted to Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Their most recent position is as a Vice President & Associate General Counsel at NewsNation, starting in 2023.
Lisa Washburn has a JD degree from DePaul University College of Law. Lisa also holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa.
