Peter McKay

Peter McKay has extensive experience in leadership and public service, currently serving as the Director of Workforce Health Assessors since February 2003 and as Executive Director of National Strategic Services since January 2000. McKay's political career includes 23 years as a Member of Parliament representing Pembroke in the Legislative Council of Tasmania, where Peter held the roles of Deputy Leader, Leader for Government, and Minister for Health and Community Services. McKay also has a long history in agriculture, working on the family farm at Coal Valley Tas from 1973 to 2011. Educational credentials include a Diploma of Agriculture from Hawkesbury Agricultural College, along with studies at Cambridge Primary and Hobart Matric College.
