Leny Woolsey

Leny Woolsey is an experienced professional currently serving as the Manager of Strategy and Performance at Whakatāne District Council since July 2023. Previous roles include Director of Student Leadership Programmes, Researcher PhD Student, and Business Development Manager at The University of Auckland, where Leny contributed significantly to leadership development programs that gained international recognition. Additional experience encompasses positions as Conference Manager at The Conference Company, Event Manager at Austin's Food Design Events, Party Designer at The Admirable Crichton in the UK, and Events Manager at The Royal Thames Yacht Club in London. Leny holds a Ph.D. in Management and International Business, an MBA, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from The University of Auckland, along with a BA in Acting and a BSc in Biological Sciences from Queen Margaret University and The University of Edinburgh, respectively.
