Aaron Bird

Aaron Bird is an experienced IT professional and manager with a diverse background in leading technology functions across various sectors. Currently serving as Manager - ICT at Whangarei District Council since April 2024, Bird previously held the position of Head of IT at Channel Infrastructure NZ, overseeing governance and security in IT operations. As Chief Information Officer at Kina Securities, Bird played a critical role in the company's IPO and acquisition efforts, solidifying its position as a leading financial institution in Papua New Guinea. Bird also has experience as IT Manager at Calder Stewart, Owner of multiple businesses, IT Infrastructure Supervisor at Rayonier, and IT Administrator at Waitemata District Health Board.
