Shruthi Cauvery Iyer is the Managing Director for South Asia at Wharton Alumni Angels. Shruthi has over eight years of experience working in the financial sector, with a focus on emerging markets. Shruthi began their career as a Short Term Consultant for the Global Financial Markets team at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). There, they evaluated the attractiveness of projects using financial tools and assisted with day-to-day operations for the MAS and Financial Markets teams.

In 2012, they joined Wharton Alumni Angels, where they worked with a group of investors to provide financing and mentorship to early-stage companies. During their time there, they helped to grow the organization’s portfolio of investments in South Asia.

Most recently, they spent a year as a Returning Scholar at the Harvard Kennedy School, where they evaluated projects for the Financial Markets team. Shruthi also assisted with day-to-day operations for the MAS and Financial Markets teams.

Shruthi Cauvery Iyer is a dedicated professional with a passion for helping others grow and succeed. Shruthi Cauvery Iyer has a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA in Finance and General from The Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from Visvesvaraya Technological University. Shruthi also attended Kendriya Vidyalaya.

They are on a team with Charlie Tseng - Director, Portfolio, Jacky Chen - Manging Director, Canada, and Daniel Arippol - President, Brazil Chapter. Shruthi Cauvery Iyer reports to John Braze, President.
