Emily Cordes has extensive experience in development and communication roles, working in various organizations such as Wharton Center for Performing Arts, Michigan State University, and St. Vincent Catholic Charities. Emily has also interned at Martin Waymire Advocacy Communications, FAITH Catholic, and Workforce Development Agency, gaining experience in event planning, communications, and research. Emily holds a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Communications from Siena Heights University and an Associate's Degree in English Language and Literature from Lansing Community College.

Wharton Center is also recognized internationally for its world premiere commissions. The Center is fortunate to hire artists to create new works in jazz, dance, and classical music that make their world debut at Wharton Center.
