Martin Telford

Martin Telford has more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry. Martin began their career in 2000 as an Underground Mining Engineer at Placer Dome's Campbell Mine in Canada. Martin then worked at Hecla Mining as an Underground Mining Engineer in La Camorra Mine in Venezuela from 2003 to 2005.

Telford joined Barrick Gold Corporation in 2005, where they served as an Underground/Senior Mining Engineer at Plutonic Gold Mine in Australia until 2007. Martin then became the Underground Manager at Granny Smith Mine in Australia from 2007 to 2010.

In 2010, Telford joined BHP Billiton as the Underground Manager at Leinster Nickel Operations in Australia. However, they only stayed at that position for a year before moving on to Selwyn Chihong Mining Ltd, where they served as the Manager of Mining for the Selwyn Project in Canada in 2011.

From 2012 to 2016, Telford worked at SRK Consulting as a Principal Mining Consultant. During this period, they provided expert advice and consulting services related to mining projects.

Currently, Telford holds the position of Director of Engineering at Wheaton Precious Metals Corp., which they have been in since 2016. In this role, they evaluate opportunities for silver and gold production, provides technical support to mine operations, and contributes to the strategic growth of the company.

Martin Telford's education history includes a degree in Mining Engineering from Queen's University, where they obtained a B.ASc. Martin also holds a diploma in Mining Engineering Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In addition to their formal education, Martin has obtained various certifications, including being a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and holding a First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency from the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, Western Australia.
