Brian R. Berquist, Ph.D.

Brian R. Berquist, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and research fields. Brian R. is currently working as the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Wheeler Bio, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this, they held various positions at iBio, Inc. including Vice President Platform and Technology Development from July 2022 to January 2023, Vice President of Process Development from November 2020 to January 2023, Vice President of Downstream Manufacturing and Process Development from November 2019 to November 2020, Vice President of Process Development and Technology Transfer from July 2019 to November 2019, Director of Process Development and Technology Transfer from May 2018 to June 2019, and Senior Scientist from January 2016 to April 2018. Before joining iBio, Inc., they worked as part of the Process Development team at Caliber Biotherapeutics, LLC from March 2013 to February 2016. Brian R. started their career as a Research Scientist at Texas A&M Health Science Center from September 2011 to March 2013 and gained further experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health from October 2006 to September 2011.

Brian R. Berquist, Ph.D. earned their B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Brian R. then pursued further studies in Molecular and Cell Biology, obtaining their Ph.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 2001 to 2006.
