Joel Janecek

Joel Janecek is an experienced executive with a strong background in distribution and finance. As the Founder of Whetstone Distribution since May 2022, Joel leads a platform of integrated legacy protein distributors and processors serving retail and food service clients, focusing on diverse markets in the Midwest. In addition to this role, Joel has served as President and CEO of Moesle Meat Distribution Co. since November 2017. Previous experience includes positions at Houlihan Lokey as an Associate, PwC as Manager of Transaction Services, Ernst & Young as Assurance Senior, and BKD, LLP as Audit Senior. Joel began the career as an Investment Analyst at Northmarq Capital and completed a Corporate Finance Internship at TD Ameritrade. Education includes a BSBA in Accounting, Economics, and Corporate Finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
