Jakob Maljaars

Jakob Maljaars is a scientific software developer with extensive experience in software engineering and research. Currently employed at Whiffle since May 2022, Jakob previously worked at Science [&] Technology, contributing to the development of calibration and imaging software for the Square Kilometre Array radio telescope. Previous roles include software engineer at CRUX Engineering BV and PhD candidate at Delft University of Technology, where research culminated in a thesis on particle-mesh modeling of advection-dominated flows. Jakob also held positions as a visiting research scientist at The University of New Mexico, assistant engineer at CDR International B.V., and intern at NOAA. Educational background includes a Master of Science (cum laude) and a Bachelor of Science (cum laude) from Delft University of Technology, as well as a VWO diploma (cum laude) from Calvijn College.
