Philip Chivily

Philip Chivily has a strong background in engineering and management roles within the aerospace industry. Philip is currently the Director of Engineering at Whippany Actuation Systems, where they oversee the engineering department. Prior to this role, they served as the Engineering Manager - Military Business Unit at the same company, leading a team in the design and manufacturing of electro-mechanical actuators for commercial aircraft platforms. Before joining Whippany Actuation Systems, Philip held positions at Davis-Standard as an Engineering Manager and Mechanical Design Engineer, at Curtiss Wright Flight Systems as a Design Engineer, and at Textron Lycoming as a Mechanical Engineer. These experiences have equipped him with extensive knowledge in gearbox design, sizing, and standards within the aerospace industry.

Philip Chivily received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University. Philip then went on to pursue further education, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University.
