Andrew Song is the Founder and CEO of Whisper. Andrew has also previously worked as a Software Engineer for Google and Facebook.

Andrew’s work at Google focused on developing new UIs for hotel reservation results in Google Web Search. This led to an increase of 33% in hotel search bookings revenue. Andrew also designed and developed a new Hotel Price Ads (HPA) bidding interface, allowing advertisers to set per-account, per-chain, and per-location reserve prices on their bids.

At Facebook, Andrew was Head of Product for Messenger Core. Andrew led the product team responsible for the consumer product experiences on Facebook Messenger, including all consumer touch-points and interfaces (navigation, messaging, media, group messaging, etc.) and core product performance (cold/warm start, reliability, etc.). Facebook Messenger grew from ~600M -> 1.2B monthly active users during their time on the team. Andrew was also passionate about early career development and was involved with the Facebook Rotational PM (RPM) program. Andrew managed several "vintages" of RPMs and later helped develop new RPM managers.

Andrew Song studied mathematics and computer science at the University of Waterloo.
