Blaine Backman

Blaine Backman is an Engineering Manager at Whistic since August 2017, overseeing multiple teams in Agile and Kanban environments while implementing AI functionality across the department. Previously, Blaine served as Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, where a Spring Boot microservice archetype was developed and a new CI/CD pipeline was established. Earlier roles include Software Engineer, where Blaine designed and maintained a large-scale web application and implemented a scalable events-based system. Blaine's experience also encompasses an internship at ExxonMobil, where APIs for database syncing were developed, and a Senior Developer position at the Missionary Training Center, focused on scheduling applications and data handling. As an entrepreneur, Blaine created an application to enhance the efficiency of court warrant processing, presenting the innovation at the National e-Courts Conference. Blaine holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
