Mark Lawrenson

Mark Lawrenson has extensive work experience in the logistics and delivery industry. Mark has held various leadership roles at Royal Mail, starting from 2010. As a Service Delivery Leader, they managed multiple schedules, operational budgets, and a wide range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Mark also supported strategic plans to remove managerial roles and achieved significant cost savings. Lawrenson led teams of thousands of employees and managers across multiple sites, overseeing large-scale closures and improving working conditions. Mark strategically planned and executed a successful merger of two directorates, creating solutions and setting the model for reducing directorate areas. Additionally, Lawrenson has experience as a Processing Plant Manager, where they led teams, processed and dispatched Royal Mail products, and implemented new automated parcel processing technology. Mark demonstrated great leadership skills by achieving improved efficiency, safety, and budget accountability. As a Delivery Operations Manager, Lawrenson was accountable for various aspects such as safety, legal compliance, budget, profit and loss, change management, and trade union relations. Mark successfully reduced accidents and implemented safety measures through team engagement and training programs. Mark Lawrenson graduated from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. Mark completed the Graduate of the Royal Mail Management Acceleration Programme. Additionally, they hold certifications in IOSH (obtained in June 2015), CPC Road Transport (Certificate of Professional Competence in National Road Haulage Operations), Membership with the GAP Institute, NVQ 4 Business Management from ICM Advanced Diploma, and Negotiations Training from the Gap Institute.
