Yar Chaikovsky

Yar Chaikovsky is a seasoned legal professional specializing in intellectual property litigation, currently serving as the Global Head of IP at White & Case LLP since March 2023. In addition, Yar holds leadership roles as a member of the Board of Councilors at the USC Center for the Political Future and as a Board Member at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, both since 2022 and 2018 respectively. Previous experience includes roles as Global Co-Chair of IP at Paul Hastings from March 2015 to March 2023, Partner at McDermott Will and Emery from 2009 to 2015, and Partner at SNR Denton, where Yar was also Vice Chair of Intellectual Property & Technology and Co-Managing Partner of the Silicon Valley Office. Yar's career also encompasses a partnership at Weil, Gotshal & Manges from 2002 to 2007 and a position as Head Patent Counsel at Yahoo! from 1999 to 2001. Education includes a Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
