Sean Burpee

Sean Burpee has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sean is currently the Managing Director at White Elephant Resorts, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, from August 2022 to February 2023, they worked as a General Manager at Passport Resorts LLC. Sean also served as the Interim Executive Director at The Langham, Chicago from November 2021 to May 2022, where they provided operational consultancy and interim leadership support.

Before joining The Langham, Sean worked at Timbers Resorts as a General Manager from October 2017 to October 2021. Sean also held the same role at Small Luxury Hotels of the World from July 2015 to September 2017, where they managed a boutique hotel and restaurant.

Sean's experience in the hospitality industry also includes positions such as Director of Rooms Operations at Twin Farms from April 2014 to June 2015, Director of Guest Services at Sofitel from April 2013 to April 2014, and Front Office Operations at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts from October 2008 to April 2013. Sean began their career as an Assistant General Manager at Relais & Châteaux from July 2000 to August 2007, and earlier worked as a Front Office Supervisor at Sonnenalp Resort from June 1996 to October 1998.

Sean Burpee attended Gettysburg College from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
