Kurt Poquette has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Kurt most recently worked at White Oak Security as a Senior Specialist in Threat Emulation Services starting in September 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Lenovo as an Ethical Hacker from July 2019 to August 2020. Kurt also held a position at Target as a Senior Engineer from August 2016 to July 2019. Before that, they completed an internship at MillerCoors as a BIS Technical Intern for two months in 2014. Kurt also interned at MillerCoors as an Operations Intern from June 2013 to January 2014. Kurt's earlier experience includes working at RIT Insight Lab as an Educational Technology Developer from May 2012 to September 2012. Kurt also worked at Rochester Institute of Technology as a Technicians Assistant from May 2011 to December 2011, where they assisted with machine repairs and lab maintenance.

Kurt Poquette completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2010 to 2016. In addition to their degree, Kurt obtained several certifications from the GIAC Certifications institution. In February 2018, they received the GIAC Advisory Board certification. Then, in August 2018, they obtained the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification and the GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) certification.
