Rich Polkinghorn

Richard Polkinghorn is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Superintendent of the White Salmon Valley School District since July 2023. Prior to this role, Richard held a similar position at Hood River County School District from July 2008 to August 2023, where Richard also worked as a Principal and Assistant Principal. Richard began their career in education as a Mathematics Teacher, with positions in multiple districts including White Salmon Valley School District, Hood River County School District, Palm Springs Unified School District, and Vacaville Unified School District. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Oregon and multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from California State University-San Bernardino and a Professional Administrator License from Concordia University-Portland.
