Geidy M. is a dedicated academic and community leader with extensive experience in educational support and political outreach. Currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine since September 2020 and participating in the Competitive Edge Summer Research Program, Geidy has previously held positions with City Year as a 1st Year AmeriCorps member, where lesson plans were created for 7th-grade students, and as an intern with the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education in New Jersey. Geidy founded "Art from Within," focusing on youth trauma through art, and has interned for notable political figures, including Senator Bob Menendez and Assemblywoman Nancy Pinkin. Geidy holds a PhD in Political Science from UC Irvine and a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in Political Science and Latino & Caribbean Studies.
