Howard Lee is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in the field of physics and photonics. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of California, Irvine, since July 2020, Howard also holds the position of IQSE Fellow at Texas A&M University in The Institute for Quantum Science and Engineering. Previously, Howard was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Baylor University and a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Harry Atwater's Group at the California Institute of Technology. Early career experiences include roles at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light and as a Graduate Research Assistant at City University of Hong Kong. Howard's research focuses on plasmonics, metamaterials, transparent conducting oxides, and nano-optics, supported by a solid educational foundation with a PhD in Physics from the Max Planck Institute and multiple degrees in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from esteemed institutions.
