P.eng. Alison Chen Pmp

Alison Chen has extensive work experience in the field of facilities engineering and asset integrity. Alison currently holds the position of Director of Facilities Engineering and Asset Integrity at Whitecap Resources Inc. In this role, they oversee various projects related to oil and gas batteries, well tie-ins, compression, dehydration, CO2 flood facilities, and liquid recovery. Their responsibilities include managing engineering procurement, detail design, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, construction management, and project closeout.

Prior to joining Whitecap Resources Inc., Alison worked at Cenovus Energy as a Staff Facilities Engineer. During their tenure, they were involved in projects such as heavy oil blending facilities, NGL recovery plant, field rollout, and the installation of an NGL plant.

Alison also worked at Husky Energy as a Facilities Engineer, where they managed capital programs for oil batteries, gas processing facilities, compression, injection, and pipeline projects. Earlier in their career, Alison worked as a Project Engineer at STARCO ENGINEERING LIMITED. Alison Chen PMP, P.Eng. completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Engineering at the University of Toronto from 1996 to 2000. Afterward, they pursued further education at the University of Calgary, where they obtained their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering between 2006 and 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Alison has also obtained several certifications. In 2006, they became a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) through The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). In 2011, they acquired their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute. Most recently, in March 2022, Alison completed the "Becoming an Impactful and Influential Leader" certification from LinkedIn.
