Russell Swann

Russell Swann is an experienced professional in the coal production and processing industry, currently serving as Coal Production Manager and Acting General Manager at Whitehaven Coal since April 2024. Prior to this role, Russell held various positions at BHP from October 2010 to April 2024, including General Manager and Manager Production Coal. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Process Engineer and Process Engineer at Vale Integra Coal from February 2007 to September 2010, Process Engineer at Sedgman Limited, and Process Engineer at Wesfarmers Curragh. Russell holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, both from the University of Newcastle, completed between 1999 and 2003.
