Scott Cutler

Scott Cutler is an experienced geologist currently serving at Whitehaven Coal since April 2024, focusing on geological modelling, resource geology, and resource reporting. Prior to this role, Scott worked at BHP from July 2008 to April 2024, progressing through various positions including Modelling Geologist, Senior Geologist, and Mine Geologist, with responsibilities encompassing strategic geological modelling, competent person reporting, fault modelling, exploration planning, coal quality analysis, and hydrogeological data management. Earlier experience includes a position as a Field Geologist at Resolve Geological, specializing in chip and core logging and managing drilling contractors. Scott holds an MSC in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology from the University of Leicester and a BSc Hons in Geology from the University of Portsmouth.
