WhiteWater’s Marketing team is hiring for a Marketing Specialist to join us at our Richmond head office in Canada!

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, writing, measuring and adjusting the marketing strategies. You will be part of committed team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer for strategic guidance. This position requires a motivated self-sufficient problem solver who can multi-task to achieve team goals. You must be comfortable working across the marketing remit from crafting regular social posts, to developing product marketing and editing the website to improve SEO performance. The ideal candidate wants to craft the messaging, enjoys writing content which drives response and is by nature analytical alongside creative.  This person will enjoy monitoring the metrics and testing each activity to optimize engagement and conversion.

Essential  Responsibilities:

Brand Development and Management

  • Lead market awareness by promoting the brand across multiple medians, Social, PR and advertising (print & digital)
    • Ensure the brand positioning is consistent and engaging across the customer journey from the website to proposals
  • Proposition testing and Competitive analysis
  • Drive engagement with the brand growing social flowers and engagement
  • Understand the buyer journey and current pain points, and which segments we see the best engagement and response to conversion.
    • build, manage and retire assets for all stages along the customer journey
  • Develop a digital lead generation strategy
  • Develop the lead generation processes and lead nurture execution through Salesforce
  • Support customer success, facilitating communications and sharing success stories and usage tips / resources

Content Development

  • Oversee the creation of new content - including (but not limited to) writing blogs, email, newsletters, website pages, landing pages designed to attract links and new readers, delivering good quality leads.(With some support within the central Marketing team eg web development, design, long copy content)
  • Interface with key stakeholders to ensure content captures readers' interest and is accurate while promoting the brand message.
  • Ensure integrity of website content is updated as necessary.
  • Create and submit award entries
  • Internal communications

Product Marketing

  • Support the development of all product marketing materials
  • Liaison with product manager as we develop product marketing plans (e.g. product maps & life stage management for appropriate marketing promotion)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field

  • 5 years marketing experience, including strategy, and digital marketing, 2 years of SaaS related marketing experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong attention to details

  • Ability to use social media platforms and customer engagement technologies

  • An eye for visual design and experience using InDesign/Figma.

  • Experience with lead nurturing, drip marketing and marketing automation technology

  • Passionate about delivering a superior customer experience

  • Highly organized, with the ability to independently manage schedules and meet deadlines

  • Strong skills with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with all levels in the organization

  • Customer focus – Seeks and meets customer needs; maintains trusted relationships

  • Excellent time management, organization and priority defining skills

  • Ability to work independently and as a team, self-starter and energetic

  • Hands-on, role-up your sleeves, do whatever it takes to get the job done attitude

  • Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, fun and professional environment

  • Flexible individual with the ability to multi-task and prioritize a changing workload

  • Able to take feedback and incorporate it into personal work

  • Pro-active and a keen learner and curious with the desire to understand

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Salary Range - $75,000 - $85,000/annum
