Megan Heuer

Megan Heuer has a diverse work experience in the art and education industry. Megan began their career at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2001, where they served as an Assistant for Administration in the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art until 2006. Megan then went on to work at various institutions, including the New Museum and Parsons School of Design, where they held roles as a Scholar in Residence & Research Associate and a Lecturer, respectively. In 2013, they became a Jane and Morgan Whitney Fellow in the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Following this, they worked as a part-time faculty member at The New School. Since 2014, they have been serving as the Director of Public Programs and Public Engagement at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Megan Heuer holds a PhD in Art and Archaeology from Princeton University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a MA in Art History from Columbia University from 2003 to 2006. Megan also holds a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies from Yale University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they have obtained a Level 2 certification in Spanish as a Second Language from the Berges Institute in December 2022.
