Yasmin Lucero

Yasmin Lucero has a strong background in engineering and data science. Yasmin is currently working at Solv as a Sr Engineering Manager since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BestPracticer as a Coach starting in September 2021. Before that, they had a significant tenure at WhoCo where they held various roles including Sr Software Eng and Dir of Engineering from February 2020 to October 2021. Yasmin also worked at Dia&Co as the Director of Data / Machine Learning Engineer from March 2017 to January 2020. During their time at Gravity.com, they served as a Senior Statistician/Data Scientist from January 2013 to March 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Statistician/Data Scientist at Signal to Noise Consulting from June 2011 to May 2013 on independent contracting basis. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northwest Fisheries Science Center, NOAA from September 2007 to June 2011. Yasmin's academic background includes being a Graduate Student at UC Santa Cruz where they developed a novel population dynamics model for a threatened fish species complex, working at the intersection of the departments of Ocean Sciences and Applied Mathematics and Statistics from 2002 to 2007.

Yasmin Lucero completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Ecology at the College of the Atlantic from 1995 to 1999. Later, they pursued their PhD in Ocean Sciences at UC Santa Cruz from 2002 to 2007.
