WHOOP
Isabel Qamar is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at WHOOP, focusing on advanced development since March 2025. Previously, Isabel worked at Formlabs as a Senior Materials Scientist and SLS Tech Lead, leading the development of Nylon 12 White and overseeing its scale-up for selective laser sintering. Isabel has also held roles as a rowing instructor at Row House and as an Assistant Rowing Coach at the University of Illinois, achieving notable success in rowing competitions. Isabel's research experience includes positions at MIT's CSAIL, leading to award-winning contributions in light-responsive materials, and at the University of Bristol, where Isabel explored morphing materials in human-centered design. Isabel holds a PhD in the Development of 3D Printed Vascular Networks for Self-Healing Materials and an MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol.
