Marilena Stavrakidi

Marilena Stavrakidi is an experienced art curator and photographer with a diverse background in visual arts. Currently serving as an Art Curator at Planthouse Gallery since March 2019, Marilena also holds multiple roles in photography and photo editing at VICE Media and WhoWhatWhy, both since 2017 and 2018, respectively. Additionally, Marilena has worked with KRAMER + KRAMER as a Photo Editor and Social Media Curator, overseeing website updates and creative direction. Previous positions include freelancing as a photographer and photojournalist for various organizations, including PDN, HuffPost, and Narratively, Inc., and assisting Taryn Simon as a Studio Assistant. Marilena holds a Bachelor's degree in Photography from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA in Photojournalism from The Art Institute.
