Idris Akintobi

Idris Akintobi has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to 2023. Idris started as an Industrial Trainee at Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) in 2013. Later, they worked as a Geography Teacher at Government College, Ibadan in 2015. In 2016, they became an Operations Manager at Iscope Construction Limited, where they oversaw site operations and managed a team of employees.

From 2018 to 2019, Idris transitioned into the tech industry and worked as a Phone Technician (Software) at SmartTech Nigeria, where they provided excellent customer service and performed software repairs on phones. In 2019, they joined Compex Africa as a Web Developer, where they developed functional code and collaborated on database and API design.

In 2020, Idris worked as a Full Stack Developer at Decagon, delivering custom web applications and designing maintainable and scalable codebases. Idris then joined Josla Electric Company Ltd. in 2022 as a Back End Developer, where they designed and developed a comprehensive entity-relationship diagram, developed backend features for energy data analytics, and integrated payment processing APIs.

In 2022, Idris joined Access Bank Plc as a Software Engineer, where they developed web applications, refactored code to enhance functionality, and proactively resolved technical issues to ensure timely project delivery. Currently, they are working at Wi-flix as a Software Engineer, collaborating closely with the CTO, migrating legacy code, and optimizing application performance and scalability.

Idris Akintobi obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Environmental Management and Toxicology from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. This education was completed between the years 2009 and 2014. In addition to their degree, Idris Akintobi has also obtained two additional certifications. Idris holds an EFSET English Certificate with a score of 68/100 (C1 Advanced), which was obtained in January 2022 from EF Standard English Test (EF SET). Idris also holds a Scrum Fundamentals Certification (SFC) obtained in January 2022 from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile.
