Randy Sundby has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles within the telecommunications industry. Randy started their career at TDS Telecommunications Corp. as an Equipment Planning Engineer and worked there for six years. Randy then joined Chorus Networks as a CLEC Operations Manager, responsible for engineering and building network infrastructures. Randy later joined Mount Horeb Telephone Company as a Resident Engineer, where they were in charge of engineering and building network infrastructure and cable systems. Randy then worked at Intertek as a Project Engineer, managing multiple projects and conducting testing for building products, construction materials, and electronics. Randy also held the position of Manager Outside Plant at CHR Solutions, overseeing the compliance of outside plant construction projects. Randy worked as an Outside Plant Engineer at Kenton Group, where they designed network infrastructure and worked as a sales engineer. Randy then joined C4 Technical Services as a CO-Engineer, responsible for the Central Office needs for Century Link in the MN/WI markets. Currently, they are working at Wi2Wi, Inc. as a Product Manufacturing Engineer.

Randy Sundby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics & Computer Technology from Herzing College Of Technology, which they obtained between the years 1996 and 1998. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronics Drafting and Electrical/Electronics CAD/CADD from the Wisconsin School of Electronics from 1985 to 1987.
