Chelsey Golden is a skilled professional with a diverse background in program development, management, and community engagement. As a Program Specialist at Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. since September 2019, Chelsey has successfully developed an economic empowerment program, allocated grant funding, and collaborated with various community agencies. Prior experience includes roles as an Occupancy Specialist at Broward County Housing Authority, where Chelsey managed a 300-person case load, and as a Management Assistant at Enterprise Holdings, achieving top regional sales. Additionally, Chelsey has demonstrated leadership in event management at Victory Marketing Agency and interned at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, enhancing administrative and grant proposal skills. Chelsey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Women In Distress is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full service domestic violence center serving Broward County, Florida. Our mission is to stop domestic violence abuse for everyone through intervention, education and advocacy.We strive to accomplish this mission through a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter program, individual counseling, support groups and professional trainings which are aimed at educating the community on domestic violence. Our confidential services are offered free of charge to victims of domestic violence no matter their age, gender, race or socio-economic status.
