Charles Mangum has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Charles worked as a Field Engineering & Operations Manager at Widelity from October 2007 onwards. Prior to that, they served as a Principal Engineer - Consultant at Hughes Network Systems from June 2005 to September 2007. Before joining Hughes, they worked at Adept Consulting as a Sr. RF Engineering from November 2002 to May 2005. Charles also gained experience as a Radio Frequency Engineer at Education Networks of America from October 2000 to October 2002. Charles started their career at Hughes Network Systems as a Principal Engineer, where they were responsible for implementing, testing, and optimizing cellular and broadband networks. Prior to Hughes, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at GTE Spacenet from February 1987 to November 1994, where they engineered and implemented satellite data voice and video conferencing networks.

Charles Mangum obtained the iBwave® Design Level 2 Certification in 2017 through the iBwave Solutions Inc. Charles completed the iBwave® Design Certification Program for this certification. In 1985, they earned an AAEE degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Hagerstown Jr. College. Prior to that, in 1981, they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in MOS 35E Special Electronics from the US Army Signal Corp. In addition to their educational background, in 2020, they also received the CommScope CBRS Certified Professional Installer (CPI) certification from CommScope.
