Carla Appel

Carla Appel is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in systems security and administration. Currently serving as a Senior Systems Security Engineer at Wieden + Kennedy since October 2018, Carla previously held positions including Senior System Engineer for the New Zealand Government and Information Management Specialist at the U.S. Department of State, where overseas postings included roles at the US Consulate General in Mumbai and the US Embassy in Wellington. Carla's wide-ranging experience includes earlier roles as Systems Administrator at Wieden + Kennedy, Raytheon Polar Services, and Vestas, as well as a unique mid-career break as a Logistics Coordinator in Alaska. Carla holds a degree from Shawnee State University, earned between 1996 and 2000.
