Karl Gruber

Karl Gruber serves as the Managing Director at Wien Energie GmbH since May 2011, overseeing general management, strategy, innovation, and project management in the renewable energy sector. Additionally, Karl holds the position of Head of Department Hydropower at OVE Österreichischer Verband für Elektrotechnik and has been a board member of the World Energy Council Austria since October 2016. Previous leadership roles include President of the Board at Vienna Energy Forta Naturala SRL and Managing Director at multiple Cycleenergy companies. Karl's experience spans energy and environmental policy consulting and technical management, backed by an impressive educational background including two MBAs from the University of Minnesota and WU Executive Academy, along with a Diplomingenieur from Technische Universität Graz.
