Danielle de Nie is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainable agriculture and environmental initiatives. As the founder and director of Wij.land since August 2016, Danielle leads efforts to create a balance between nature and agriculture in the western peat meadows of the Netherlands. Recently, Danielle co-founded Samen voor Grond to promote the joint purchase of land for agricultural and natural purposes. Additionally, Danielle serves as chair of Stichting Samen voor Grond, strategic advisor at Boer & Landschap, and initiator at Aardpeer. Previous roles include landscape developer at Commonland, program manager at Stichting Natuur en Milieu, and team coordinator at IUCN-NL, among others. Danielle holds a Master's Degree in Physical Geography from the University of Amsterdam.
