Jessica James-Hill

Jessica James-Hill is the Senior Endowment Development Officer at the Wikimedia Foundation. Jessica has over three years of experience in fundraising and development, most recently serving as the Director of Financial Development at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. In this role, they were responsible for leading and training branch staff and volunteer fundraisers, developing and implementing Annual Support Campaign initiatives, and documenting the status of the campaign through monthly reports. Jessica was also responsible for prospecting, cultivating, and soliciting Annual Support Campaign donors and event sponsors, as well as ensuring appropriate sponsorship recognition and relationship management. Prior to their work at the YMCA, Jessica held positions at various other nonprofits in the Charlotte area. Jessica holds a bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jessica James-Hill has a certificate in fundraising management from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, an M.S. in sport management from the University of Florida, and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Florida. Jessica is also certified by NonprofitReady in nonprofit essentials, marketing essentials, and fundraising essentials, and by the University of Florida in fundraising management.

Jessica James-Hill reports to Caitlin Virtue, Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts, Foundations and Endowment. They are on a team with and Amy Parker - Endowment Director.
