Katie Francis is a senior paralegal at the Wikimedia Foundation. Katie began their career as an intern at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office in September 2011 and held that position until December 2011. Katie then became a contractor at Macy's.com from June 2012 to October 2012. In September 2011, they began working as an independent contractor for The Online 401K and continued in that role until May 2012.

Katie Francis attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Politics/Women's Studies. Katie then went on to San Francisco State University, College of Extended Learning to obtain their Certificate in Paralegal Studies.
