Amali Wedagedara

Amali Wedagedara is an experienced professional currently serving as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa since August 2016. Amali has held various roles, including Contributing Analyst at IHS, Inc. since January 2015, and Researcher at Wikistrat since November 2014. Previous experiences include serving as a Temporary Lecturer at The Open University of Sri Lanka and Research Coordinator at One Text Initiative. Between May 2012 and August 2013, Amali worked as a Research Associate at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute for International Relations and Strategic Studies, focusing on political demography and diaspora engagement. Also notable are the positions held as a SAARC Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses and Field Officer at the Centre for Poverty Analysis. Amali holds a Master of Arts in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Statistics from the University of Peradeniya.
