Alex Baburin

Chief Technical Officer at Wilcom International

Alex Baburin has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Alex started their career at Honeywell, where they worked in software development roles for over 13 years. Baburin then moved on to Siemens Building Technologies, where they served as the Head of Product Line Access Control and later as the General Manager of the Access Technology Group. In 2006, they joined IR and served as the Chief Operations Officer and later as the General Manager - Research & Development. During their time at IR, they implemented Agile methodologies, improved product quality and customer support, introduced a performance management system, and established recruitment processes. Since 2017, Baburin has been working as the Chief Technical Officer at Wilcom International. In 2017, they also worked as an Executive Management Consultant at Soprano Design, where they provided advice and assistance in rebuilding product management and development capabilities, implementing Agile methodologies, and creating a security governance framework. Overall, Baburin has a strong background in product management, software development, and implementing innovative strategies within organizations.

Alex Baburin attended Brisbane Grammar School from 1976 to 1980. Following this, from 1983 to 1985, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mathematics and Computing at CQUniversity.
