Marina Emerson, CPA

Marina Emerson, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Marina is currently working as the Controller at Wild Alaskan Company. Prior to this, they were employed at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where they served as the Accounting Manager and later as the Senior Accountant Lead. Marina also worked as an Accounting Manager at Contrast Security and as a Senior Accountant at Wrike. Before transitioning into accounting roles, Marina held positions such as G/L Accountant at CipherCloud and Accountant at CLEAResult and Santa Cruz Biotechnology. Marina began their career as a Project Manager in the International Department of The International Labor Centre (ILC) in Ukraine and as a Research Assistant at the Department of Defense of Ukraine, Kyiv. Marina's extensive experience in various accounting and management positions has equipped their with a strong skill set and expertise in finance and accounting.

Marina Emerson, CPA, holds a Master's Degree in Enterprise Economy from National Aviation University in Kiev, Ukraine, which they obtained from 2000 to 2005. During this time, they studied math, statistics, accounting, and economy. In 2009, Marina pursued an Accounting A.S. Degree at Cabrillo College, completing it in 2013. In 2007 and 2008, they received a Certificate of Accounting from Martinez Adult Education in Martinez, CA, specializing in QuickBooks Pro, Accounting I and II, and Computerized Accounting.

Marina further expanded their education in the field of accounting by attending professional development courses. In 2014, they completed a Professional Development program in Federal Taxation: Corporations, Partnerships, Estates & Trusts at UC Berkeley Extension. Marina also undertook a Professional Development program in Auditing, Advanced Accounting, and Ethics in Accounting at Foothill College in the same year. Subsequently, in 2015, Marina enrolled in a CPA Exam Review Course at Becker Professional Development.

To consolidate their expertise, Marina obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the California Board of Accountancy in October 2015.
